This 4 day course is for delegates who have operational responsibility in the events industry, working for venues, event organisers, conference organisers, promoters, exhibitors, contractors and party organisers.

The course is equally applicable to anyone who routinely works in the build-up, break-down or running of any part of an event.


Objectives:

Fully accredited by IOSH delivered by one of our training partners, this course follows the IOSH Managing Safely Syllabus in outline but has been specifically tailored for the events industry.


The overall aim is to ensure that delegates can:

Work more safely themselves
Manage safety more effectively
Contribute to the health and safety management of their organisations.
Specific aims are:

To ensure that delegates understand the risk management process of an event.
To achieve an internationally recognised standard that is the basic requirement for operational management in most sections of the events industry as required by law

Assessment Criteria:
Written assessment – 45 minute paper
Event related project to be completed following the course.
(Both parts must be passed before a certificate can be awarded)

The certificate awarded on completion of the exam and project is IOSH Managing Safely in the Exhibition and Events Industry
